Home Energy Analysis Services

Four levels of Energy Analysis are offered:

Level I

Analyzes your existing energy-efficiency status, and provides advice on measures you can take to improve the overall efficiency of your home. This includes a visual inspection of the insulation, windows, doors and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system.

Level II

Includes the Level I, plus a power load analysis of the seven major electric appliances in your home. This would include: washer, dryer, range, dishwasher, well pump, water heater, and (1) Heat Pump or (1) A/C unit.  Any additional appliances can be assessed at a minimal cost.

Level III

Includes the Level I & Level II, plus a computerized blower door test. The blower door test provides information that is used to determine the air-tightness of a home. The Expanded Audit would be beneficial if you are looking to reduce the expense of heating and cooling, upgrading an HVAC system, or making energy efficient improvements.

Level IV

Providing a more scientific approach, the Level IV includes the Level I,II & III plus a thermal infrared analysis which includes 10 color thermal infrared images. The thermal  infrared analysis provides information that is used to determine the thermal heat loss or heat gain in areas of a home. The Level IV would be beneficial if you are looking for that mystery energy loss or discomfort in certain areas of the home, which might be undetectable when conducting a Level I-III service. A homeowner would also select the Level IV when having the goal of making their home as energy efficient as possible. The prices are based on the square footage of the home. The costs listed below are where prices for service start.
